Sharing the Gifts God Has Given Us
Stewardship—the sharing of the time, talent and treasure God has given us—is a way of life. It extends beyond a single volunteer activity or financial pledge into all we do as Christians. Joyfully giving of the many blessings God has granted us is our response to our scriptural call: To work with and through each other to build the kingdom of God here on earth. Your financial gifts are what drive the liturgies, ministries and activities we celebrate as a community at St. Mary of Victories each year. They allow us to maintain our facilities, empower our ministries and engage all who worship here as a community.
Bring the full tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house; and thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing. Malachi 3:10
We are deeply grateful to all those who support St. Mary of Victories Church and specifically our fundraising efforts with the spiritual gift of their prayers. Please join us in praying this special prayer for our chapel community:
Our heavenly Father, / long ago you inspired our German forefathers in the Faith / to raise this beautiful house of prayer and sacrifice / in honor of your Son's most holy Mother, / Our Lady of Victories. Your Providence then brought many Hungarians here / under the co-patronage of the holy King, Saint Stephen. / We humbly place before you today / the spiritual and temporal needs of our historic church / and its present-day community. / Grant us the grace to discern your holy will, / and to fulfill it zealously as faithful witnesses to the Gospel, / here in the old heart of our city, / for as long as it may please your Divine Majesty.
